How to Deal With Disappointment

# 1-Accept. Denial is very powerful. The first step would be to come to terms with our current perdicaments. We should accept the situation for what it is.

# 2- Realize- After accepting the unfortunate event that let us down we need to realize it's toll on us emotionally. We must understand what this setback has down to our confidence and self-esteem.Understanding where we stand emotionally can help us tame our moods and tackle our thoughts.

# 3-Talk about it. People may know about our recent let-down but in order to offload some of that emotional baggage.Talk to a close-friend, realitive or shrink. Learning to talk about things that has hurt us if a good approach to fast-healing.These people may also have good advice that could come in handy as on your journey back to emotional well-being.

# 4-Change it. We must change the way we look at this disappointment. Each time we think of what has happened we must try to make it a positive thought, think of all the bad things that could have happened but didn't. If we can make this an 'Atleast It Wasn't Worse' scenario we can drain the power it has on our moods.

# 5- Teach it. The good thing about disappointment is that it gives us an lession in life. We should use this newfound experience and help others evade it.If you help someone else

# 6-Don't Give Up. if it was a scholarship we thought was a gurantee or a job we thought was ours then there is no need to give up. Those the saying is old and almost a cliche it is still as true as day 'when one door closes, another opens'. This oppurtunity may not have been the perfect one for you and if you got it then you would have missed out on the better things to come. Don't give up on your dream because you never know whats waiting for you behind a certain door.

Orphan

He cries
But no one is there
No one to comfort him
No one to care

Hes heard it often
Orphan!Orphan!Orphan!
It lingers on the tip of
Each tounge

And yet as he puts
out his scarred palm
they look beyond him

He pains
But no one is there
No one to comfort him
Through the rains

His belly is swollen
and it roars like a beast
He can't remember,
when last did he eat?

His skin is dry
and scaley tormented by the sun
His feet are bruised
As though on coal they have run

He hides in little corners
And homes these very sites
His neighbours often
Mosquitoes, worms and termites

He fears
But no one is there
No one to comfort him
And dry his tears

He leads a lonely life
deserted and destroyed
when did he become a man?
was he ever a boy?

He slumbers in drenches
He knows the smell of waste
He k\nows no fences
For him life has no taste

He screams
But no one is there
No one to hear him
No one to care

My Home

In your arms
Big and strong
I find solace
Yes in your masculine embrace
right in the comfort o your firm chest

It's your warm touch
As you hold me close
In this I find
My peace of mind
where pleasure meets
the end of time

When all is wrong
And theres no sense
In this cold world
I know sorrow will cease to exist
Once I'm safely tucked in my place
of blisss
caved in sweet euphoria

Nostalgia when you are away
Gets the best of me
Reminscing of who I'm missing
Satissfied only when you're in
My vision
And
I'm back where I belong
In your arms big and strong

Vicissitudes

I am not insatiable
I eat my good with the bad
I drink it down with milk and say
"Life is full of its vicissitudes"
i don't give in easily
But I lose as well as I win

I am not insatiable
I take my bad
And grin
I cry and laugh
Both in their time
And say "Good for me"
Cause I take both of everything
And still have time to smile

I am not insatiable
I take heartbreak
with the punch of thrill
Because I know it's better to have loved
Than never to have loved at all

I am not insatiable
I taste my salty tears
And sweeten them with a smile

Life has its vicissitudes
Yes its ups and downs
crying won't change anything
neither will frowns
But we do it because we can
So we must also be able to be Happy
Because we can

My day dreams

I can't describe the feeling
of when I float away
into a misty day dream
A world of my very own
And though I sit in math class
I might as well be at home

Oh the beauty of day dream
as I scrape the sky
Algebraic formulas continue to pass me by

Oh the warmth of day dream
the joy of numbing bliss
the tango of thought
the damage of kiss

Oh what pretty day dream
an escape from all the drama
a pillow of ideas
a lovely little trauma

Oh what splendid day dream
the crippling touch of sleep
As minds all at ease
baring a secret our brains keep

Don't you love?

You are conniving
Slick and sneaky
You rob each heart
Because you’re tricky
Don’t you love?

You are greedy and foolish
A trickster by name
You know every soft spot
You’ve played every game
Don’t you love?

You are the charmer
The one who lures
Innocent hearts into your trap
You know your way in
You’ve got every map
Don’t you love?

You are deceitful and mean
You haven’t a backbone nor a spleen
You capture each heart you happen to meet
Don’t you love?

You are deceitful
Two faced with no doubt
When she mentions love
You sneak your way out
Don’t you love?

You are distracting
Make it hard to concentrate
You’ll never get caught
You know how to calculate
Don’t you love?

School

I used to like school
Not a bad word to say
Now the teachers are beefers
That spoil each day
Revising history, practicing math
Once actually caring about my path
I once loved accounts, purchases and sales
Now that ship is long gone, packed and sailed
Chemicals in chemistry, anatomy in Biology
Physical quantities, Hitler’s philosophies
Now I’ve forgotten about school, my ears are shut
If this is a movie someone say CUT!
If this is a scene of a troubled teen then I’m the best star
Because now knowledge
Ain’t taking me far
Won’t get me some money
Or a fancy car
Not if our teachers are this mean
Like in biology they’re hurting my spleen
I now am nothing but a troubled teen
